Recently, Guizhou Baibo New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. announced a major technological breakthrough in the field of low-temperature glass powders, successfully developing a series of high-performance low-temperature glass powder products. All key performance indicators have reached internationally advanced levels, breaking the long-standing monopoly held by foreign companies in this field and filling a technological gap in the domestic market.

It is understood that low-temperature glass powder, as an important inorganic non-metallic material, is widely used in a variety of high-end fields, including electronic packaging, new-energy batteries, precision ceramics, and medical devices. Previously, the domestic market for high-end low-temperature glass powder was largely dominated by companies from Europe, the U.S., Japan, and other countries, resulting in high product prices and significant supply instability influenced by global geopolitical conditions—factors that have constrained the development of related downstream industries in China.

After more than three years of dedicated research and development, the company’s R&D team has successfully tackled key technical challenges—including controlling the melting point of low-temperature glass powders, ensuring chemical stability, and achieving compatibility—through optimized raw material ratios and innovative preparation processes. The newly developed low-temperature glass powder products have a melting point as low as 450℃ to 600℃ and feature excellent flowability, high bonding strength, and outstanding insulating performance, making them suitable for encapsulation applications on a wide variety of substrates. Testing conducted by an independent and authoritative third-party organization confirms that all product performance indicators meet international standards, with some indicators even surpassing those of comparable imported products.

Industry experts say that this technological breakthrough in domestically produced low-temperature glass powder has not only reduced production costs for downstream enterprises in China and ensured supply-chain security, but also boosted the upgrading and development of China’s new materials industry, providing crucial support for the independent controllability of related high-end manufacturing sectors. Currently, the company has built a production line with an annual capacity of 500 tons of low-temperature glass powder, and its products have been validated by several leading downstream companies and are now being supplied in bulk.
