In recent years, the state has attached great importance to the development of the new materials industry and has successively introduced a number of policies, including the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Raw Materials Industry” and the “Guidance Catalog for the First Batch of Demonstration Applications of Key New Materials.” These policies have designated high-end inorganic non-metallic materials such as low-temperature glass powders as key areas for support, providing strong policy guarantees for the industry’s development. Against this backdrop, China’s low-temperature glass powder industry is experiencing unprecedented development opportunities.

In recent years, the state has attached great importance to the development of the new materials industry and has successively introduced a number of policies, including the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Raw Materials Industry” and the “Guidance Catalog for the First Batch of Demonstration Applications of Key New Materials.” These policies have designated high-end inorganic non-metallic materials, such as low-temperature glass powders, as key areas for support, providing robust policy guarantees for the industry’s development. Against this backdrop, China’s low-temperature glass powder industry is experiencing unprecedented growth opportunities.

At the policy level, the state not only provides special funding to support R&D and innovation in low-temperature glass powders but also employs a first-batch application insurance compensation mechanism, thereby reducing the risks faced by downstream enterprises when adopting new low-temperature glass powder products and accelerating the commercialization of technological achievements. Meanwhile, driven by favorable policies in downstream industries such as new energy, electronic information, and high-end manufacturing, the market demand for low-temperature glass powders continues to expand.

Data from market research firms show that in 2023, the domestic market size for low-temperature glass powders reached 820 million yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.5%. It is projected that by 2028, the market size will surpass 2.5 billion yuan, with an average annual compound growth rate exceeding 25%. Currently, more than 30 domestic companies have entered the low-temperature glass powder sector; among them, several companies have already achieved large-scale production. Their products not only serve the domestic market but are also exported to regions such as Southeast Asia and Europe.

Relevant officials from the industry association stated that the continued release of policy benefits will further stimulate the industry's innovative vitality and propel the low-temperature glass powder industry toward higher-end, larger-scale, and more intensive development. In the future, as technology continues to advance and application scenarios keep expanding, low-temperature glass powder is poised to play a significant role in an increasing number of emerging fields and become a key growth driver for the new materials industry.
